Research & Clinical Interest
Dr. Goldhammer is a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist focusing on providing anesthetic care to patients with advanced cardiovascular disease requiring cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgery. Dr. Goldhammer splits his clinical time between the operating rooms and the cardiovascular intensive care unit.
Concurrent with Anesthesiology residency training, Dr. Goldhammer completed an NIH K30-funded Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacology—Human Investigation Track in the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Goldhammer has continued his clinical research with a focus on vasopressors, acute kidney injury, coagulation, and transfusion medicine.
