Gamal Fitzpatrick, MD

Medical School: Trinity Medical School of Medicine  
Residency Training: Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center

Bio: Gamal Fitzpatrick completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Brookdale University Medical Center in New York City. Prior to entering residency, he earned his medical degree from Trinity School of Medicine in 2016 and served as the Vice President of the Student Government Association during his time as a medical student. 

As a resident, Dr. Fitzpatrick developed an interest in treating patients with Alcohol Use Disorder and Tobacco Use Disorder in the primary care setting. He excelled at working with patients to reduce their substance use and his success with these patients led him to pursue a fellowship in Addiction Medicine. 

Now as an Addiction Medicine fellow, his focus is to deliver quality care to patients from underserved communities within Philadelphia. Dr. Fitzpatrick’s primary research interest is in examining methods that bolster treatment retention among patients from vulnerable populations who use substances. 

TaReva Warrick-Stone, DO

Bio: After graduating with a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Puget Sound, Dr. Warrick-Stone worked for 2 years in Thailand on child rights, education, health, and nonprofit development projects, then returned to the US and worked for 3 years with supportive housing and adult shelter programs in Colorado. She went on to earn her medical degree from Pacific Northwest University in 2018.

Dr. Warrick-Stone attended dual board residency training in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Jefferson Northeast, where she served as Chief Resident, and graduated just prior to the start of her Addiction Medicine Fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2023. As a resident, she completed the Chief Resident Immersion Training in Addiction Medicine and worked to improve the quality of care for patients with opioid use disorder in the emergency department, hospital, and clinic. 

As an addiction medicine fellow, her clinical work continued to span both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on improved quality of care through inpatient consults and low barrier outpatient access to medications for opioid use disorder. Dr. Warrick-Stone's research interests include examining the impact of inpatient addiction medicine consult services, MOUD retention, and hepatitis C treatment and HIV prevention in patients who use substances. After fellowship, she will join faculty at Jefferson with the inpatient consult Addiction Multidisciplinary Service.

Michael Noonan, DO

Bio: 
After graduating with a BA in Art History from the University of Chicago, Dr. Noonan went on to earn his MS in Computational Biology from NYU. Dr. Noonan earned his medical degree from the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006, and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Prior to joining the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Jefferson, Dr. Noonan worked as a board-certified Family Medicine doctor for 10+ years, spending the majority of this time serving the local community as a Family Physician at the Salud Family Health Center in Commerce City, CO.

After graduating from his Addiction Medicine fellowship in 2022, Dr. Noonan accepted a fellow position with the Adult Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Christiana Care in Newark, DE, where he will continue to build his medical knowledge and expertise. Dr. Noonan aims to marry his two post-graduate training experiences and help patients with substance use disorders navigate end-of-life care. 

Elise Paquin, MD

Medical School: Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University
Residency Training: Family Medicine: Bryn Mawr Family Practice
Bio: After graduating with a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Boston University, Dr. Paquin went on to earn her MA in Medical Science from Boston University’s School of Medicine, and subsequently earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 2015.

Dr. Paquin attended residency training in Family Medicine at Bryn Mawr Family Practice, where she served as Chief Resident, and graduated just prior to the start of her Addiction Medicine Fellowship training at Jefferson.

After graduating from her Addiction Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Paquin accepted a position at local community site Pathways to Housing PA, where she will work important work that began during fellowship.  In this role, Dr. Paquin will work alongside patients and community members to provide high-quality addiction medicine services to one of the most vulnerable populations in Philadelphia.
