International Opportunities

Our Neurology Residency Program offers multiple international opportunities for residents to broaden their clinical experience and gain a global perspective on neurological care. Prior residents have had the enriching experience of rotating at renowned medical centers such as Sheba University in Israel, Cattolica University in Rome, CES University in Medellin, Colombia, and Taipei Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan. Upcoming international rotations for our current residents include opportunities in Zambia and Chiba University Hospital in Chiba, Japan. These rotations provide residents with exposure to diverse healthcare systems, patient populations, and medical practices, enhancing their clinical skills and cultural competence.

These international rotations not only broaden clinical expertise but also foster a sense of global citizenship and collaboration. Residents return with a deeper understanding of neurological disorders on a global scale and the ability to apply this knowledge in their practice at home. Our commitment to offering diverse international opportunities ensures that our residents are well-prepared to become leaders in the global medical community.

In addition to sending our residents abroad, our residency program also serves as a host for visiting residents from these esteemed universities. This exchange fosters a dynamic and enriching environment in Philadelphia, allowing our residents to engage with and learn from their international peers. Hosting visiting residents enhances the cultural diversity and educational experience within our program, promoting a deeper understanding of global neurological care and collaboration.
