Each year, we are proud to accept two of the brightest, future MFM leaders into the Thomas Jefferson University Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Fellowship.

Learn why our fellows chose Thomas Jefferson University for their MFM fellowship and what inspires them as they pursue their passion for helping others through medicine.

The primary reason I chose Jefferson MFM was because of the focus on research and scholarship.  I know that I want a career in research and academic medicine and Jefferson has a strong record of training leaders in the field. I was particularly drawn to the opportunity to do global health research as part of my fellowship training. Having two fellows per year was another appeal of the program-- it means there is a community of fellows and always someone to ask for help/advice/nerd-out with about obstetrics/meet for happy hour. I could not ask for a better group of co-fellows. Finally, I was very excited to be coming to Philadelphia.  It's a great city to live in, with incredible restaurants, arts, culture and nearby nature.

Keely Robinson, MD - FEL2
Abington Hospital - Jefferson Health OBGYN Residency

I chose Jefferson because I knew it would provide a strong clinical experience with exposure to both maternal and fetal pathology, as well as a high volume of procedures. Additionally, I knew it was a place full of excellent mentorship with support and encouragement to pursue my areas of passion. And last but certainly not least, I loved the fellows and knew they were a group that would quickly become like family.
