Requirements

The following must be received to be considered for an interview. Incomplete application packets cannot be reviewed until all items have been received.

  • Graduate Training Application (PDF)
  • Medical school transcript/Dean's letter
  • Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Three letters of recommendation written on your behalf addressed directly to our program. One letter must be from the current or most recent training program director.
  • USMLE (or equivalent) scores

Interview Procedure

It is the applicant's responsibility to track the progress of their application submission, including receipt of reference letters. Only completed applications will be reviewed for interview selection. We will contact only those applicants who are selected for interviews after deliberation by the selection committee.

Timelines

We follow the Association for Academic Pathology's Fellowship timeline recommendations:

  • Interviews are conducted no earlier than 23 months prior to the fellowship start date. (e.g., for fellowships beginning in July, 2026, interviews will begin August 1, 2024).
  • Offers for fellowship are offered no earlier than 21 months prior to the start date. (e.g., For fellowships beginning in July, 2026, an offer cannot be made prior to October 1, 2024).
  • Standard response time for the applicant to accept or decline an offer is three business days.
