While the Jefferson RAD-AID chapter may have funds available to help support travel, it is the responsibility of the resident physician to secure funding for planned travel. If scholarships and travel awards do not cover the entire estimated funds required, the resident physician agrees to pay the remaining costs using personal funds, some of which is expected.

As long as the resident physician makes a diligent effort to secure scholarships and travel awards, the Jefferson RAD-AID chapter will assist with exploring funding to cover as much of the travel costs as possible.

The suggestions below are not all-inclusive, but are a starting point and it is recommended that resident phsycians apply for funding as follows:

  1. ALL residents are expected to apply for the Doximity Travel Grant to cover airfare
  2. Interventional Radiology Residents are expected to apply for the RAD-AID SIR Global IR Program
