Three Jefferson Students Named to METROPOLIS Future100 Class of 2025
Thomas Jefferson University is proud to announce that three College of Architecture & the Built Environment students have been named to the METROPOLIS Future100 Class of 2025, a prestigious national recognition honoring the most promising architecture and interior design students in North America.
Isaac Buxton, Owen Felty and Emma Hogan were selected for this honor by a panel of experts from METROPOLIS magazine. (Buxton is a Fall 2024 graduate, while Felty is graduating this Spring with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, and Hogan is completing her MS in Interior Architecture.) Each was nominated by faculty members who recognized their exceptional talent, commitment to innovation, and potential to shape the future of the design profession.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor, which reflects the outstanding caliber of students in the College of Architecture & the Built Environment,” says Barbara Klinkhammer, the college’s dean. “Isaac, Owen and Emma truly embody the values that define our college — a deep commitment to design excellence, innovation and social impact.”
Their achievements are a testament to the power of a transformative education and to the bright future they are shaping through their creativity, curiosity and leadership.
Now in its fifth year, The Future100 program was established by METROPOLIS — a leading voice in architecture and design publishing for over 40 years — to spotlight emerging leaders who are poised to make meaningful contributions in sustainability, equity and forward-thinking design. Winners are featured in the magazine’s summer issue, as well as showcased online.
Their selection highlights not only their individual achievements, but also the strength of Jefferson’s forward-thinking, socially responsible design education.
“We are very proud of Emma Hogan’s accomplishments as an MS in Interior Architecture student,” says Lauren Baumbach, chair of Interior Design & Interior Architecture program. “She exemplifies the best of the best in design sensibility, creativity and dedication to the craft. She has proven she is willing to step outside her comfort zone and take risks as a student, which will serve her well as a budding design professional.”
Jefferson’s Architecture and Interior Design & Interior Architecture programs are nationally recognized for their hands-on, interdisciplinary approach that merges design, technology, and sustainability. With strong industry partnerships, cutting-edge facilities, and a commitment to social and environmental impact, the programs prepare graduates to become innovative leaders in the built environment.
