The Nursing Summer Training and Enrichment Program (Nursing STEP-UP) will be a hybrid model this year.
Nursing STEP-UP is open to rising high school juniors and seniors and offers an introduction to the field of nursing and its various disciplines.
The program includes:
- college application preparation, including personal statement writing, resume development, and comprehensive SAT workshops delivered by a name-brand company
- classroom and simulation experiences
- time management and study skills training
- student mentoring
The mandatory SAT prep class will take place virtually Monday through Thursday, and virtual or in-person enrichment activities will take place in the afternoons. There will be field trips and scheduled in-person simulation experiences at the Jefferson College of Nursing campuses.
