Minors

The inclusion of a minor in a student’s program of study creates additional opportunities for professional growth and skillset development in a key area related to the student’s major. For human resource management majors, minor options in business administration, organizational leadership or information technology management offer students 12 credits of curriculum to develop key foundational knowledge specific to these areas. Students can leverage these minors to illustrate to an employer a depth of knowledge beyond the major and further strengthen their resume.

Business Administration Minor

The business administration minor introduces students to key business topics including accounting, finance, economics, management and marketing.

Organizational Leadership Minor

The organizational leadership minor provides an introduction to key topics in organizational leadership that would benefit leaders and managers in all fields, such as behavioral dynamics, project management and the application of leadership theory. A diverse array of selective options allows students to explore leadership in a variety of different contexts to meet their own professional goals.

Information Technology Management Minor

The information technology management minor utilizes current business cases to illustrate how companies have identified and solved key business challenges using information systems and technologies. An additional selective option allows students to focus on network, database or cloud management to gain additional technical skills.
