Application Process & Requirements

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026-2027 Hematopathology Fellowship which runs from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. The deadline to apply is January 1, 2025. Interviews will begin in January and will end on March 5, 2025.

To be considered, application packets must be received by the Fellowship Coordinator prior to January 1, 2025. Please be sure all items are sent as the fellowship team cannot review incomplete candidate applications.Candidates must be graduates of approved medical schools in the U.S. or Canada, or possess a completed ECFMG certificate. Satisfactory references are required. 

Please note that we are participating in the NRMP Pathology Fellowship Match. A list of key dates can be found on the Society for Hematopathology website. To participate in NRMP ranking, please register with NRMP prior to February 5, 2025.

Applicant packets should be directed to the Fellowship Coordinator and must include:

  • Completed CAP standardized application form with current photograph included
  • Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation with at least one from current program director
  • Copy of your medical school transcript and/or Medical Student Performance Evaluation (formerly known as the Dean's Letter)
  • USMLE transcript
  • Copy of ECFMG, if applicable
