Our commitment to developing a workforce equipped to address the complexities of healthcare require that we understand societal inequities and efforts needed to eliminate injustices. As faculty, staff and students, we have essential roles to play in shaping communities and cities that respond, swiftly and equitably, to all people’s needs and hopes. We have long pursued this mission; but we must never take it for granted and, therefore, we must always be expanding our energies.
The JCPH Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Workgroup was established to receive input from the JCPH community, develop action plans, and champion efforts aimed at increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our college and in the university community. I hope you join with us in this effort.
