Application Process

The Jefferson Emergency Medicine Residency Program participates in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and uses the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Application requirements include:

  • Enrollment in or graduation from an accredited school of medicine
  • Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 examination or the COMLEX examination
  • At least two letters of recommendation, with strong preference that one be from an emergency medicine faculty member (SLOE preferred)
  • Personal Statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Dean’s Letter
  • Medical School Transcript
