New Housing Applicants

On March 3rd, 2025 the Center City housing application for the 2025-2026 academic year will be available. Students should submit a housing application using the Jefferson Housing Portal. To officially complete your application, please make sure to type in all of the required information and click “save and continue.”

Timeline for Housing Selection Process

The application is broken up into two parts, Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Phase 1 will open on March 3rd, 2025. Once you receive your campus key, please submit your application to be considered for on-campus housing. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis... the earlier you apply means the earlier you will be able to select your housing.

Phase 2 will open on the following dates:

1. For May applicants: March 31st
2. For July applicants: May 27th
3. For August applicants: June 30th

Roommates: First year, incoming students who wish to be paired with a future roommate can opt to be included in the roommate selection process. Students can create a web profile on the Housing Portal for other students to view and also view other students looking for roommates.

*If you already have your campus key and password and are having issues logging into the portal, please contact the Office of Residential Life at university.housing@jefferson.edu. 

After selecting an apartment/room and roommate (if applicable), students will then need to complete the following items in the Housing Portal to officially finalize their housing.

• Select a move-in date (based off the start date of your program)
• Pay security deposit (for Barringer and Orlowitz only)
• Sign housing contract
• Purchase renter’s insurance

All Barringer and Orlowitz residents will need to submit a $250 security deposit via the Housing Portal once the application is complete.

Students planning to live in Barringer or Orlowitz will also be required to pay their prorated first month’s rent upon arrival. The first month's rent check should be made out to "PMC Property Group." Students will receive a confirmation email prior to move-in with further details. Per PMC Property Group, failure to provide first month's rent will result in no keys being issued.

Please note: the security deposit is non-refundable if you breach the terms of the contract. 

Move-in Dates

May 18th: Housing applications will be available through the Housing Portal for those students who need accommodations during the Spring Semester for their programs. These spaces are limited based on availability in the buildings. 

July 20th & August 17th: Housing applications will be available through the Housing Portal for those students who plan to matriculate the following academic year. Applications will continue to be accepted throughout the year until Housing has reached full capacity. After completing the application, students will receive a confirmation email with move-in details.
